Green Valley Christian School began in 1970 as a preschool and day-care center.

In 1976, kindergarten through sixth grade were added. Seventh and eighth grade came into being in 1999.

Green Valley Christian School is a ministry of Green Valley Christian Center, and is accredited with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Association of Christian Schools International.
